Amazing Work Bulletin Board For The Classroom

Amazing Work Bulletin Boards

There’s something really special about watching a child pause… spot their name… and suddenly realise, “That’s mine!” That tiny spark of pride does more for their confidence than any sticker or stamp ever could. That’s exactly why I created this Amazing Work bulletin board – a bright, joyful space where students feel noticed, valued, and genuinely celebrated.

In my own classroom days, I used to keep a little folder of “wow work” that students were proud of. The problem was, only I ever saw it. When I finally started putting their work up on the wall – properly, neatly, with their names displayed – everything changed. Kids stood taller. Parents lingered longer. Even the quiet students, the ones who sometimes feel invisible, got their moment to shine. I wanted to bring that same feeling into a printable you can use anytime, anywhere, no matter your classroom theme.

This set is designed to make your space feel warm and encouraging the moment students walk in. Soft colours, friendly shapes, and space for every child’s masterpiece… because when one student is celebrated, the whole room feels it. And the best part? You can update it as often as you like – weekly, monthly, or whenever your students deserve a little extra recognition (which, let’s be honest, is most days).

Scroll down to download your free set, print a few pages, and get ready for those “Look! That’s my work!” moments that make teaching feel meaningful all over again.

What’s included in the Amazing Work bulletin board set?

  • “AMAZING WORK!” banner letters
  • Individual pennants for each letter
  • Bright, classroom-friendly colours that mix well with most themes
  • Student work display frames
  • Seven coordinating designs with softly patterned borders
  • Space in the centre to staple or clip a page of work
  • A matching name plate that reads “Amazing work by” with room to write the student’s name

You can print as many copies as you need, so this works for small groups, whole-class displays, or even a hallway showcase.

Easy ideas for using your Amazing Work display

Here are a few simple ways to use this student work board all year round:

  1. Weekly “Wow Work” feature: Choose one piece of work from each student (or a small group) every week. Rotate the pages on the board each Friday so everyone gets a turn.
  2. Themed displays: Use the board to highlight a particular unit:
    • Writing: personal narratives, poems, information reports
    • Math: problem-solving, graphing projects, shape hunts
    • Art: self-portraits, seasonal crafts, directed drawings
    • STEM: experiments, design challenges, labelled diagrams
  3. Growth over time: Keep one spot for each student and change their work every month. Take a quick photo before you swap it out – it’s a lovely way to show how far they’ve come by the end of the year.
  4. Celebration days: Turn the Amazing Work board into a special feature for:
    • Open classroom nights
    • Parent/teacher interviews
    • End-of-term celebrations
    • Award assemblies or recognition days

How to set up your Amazing Work bulletin board

You don’t need anything fancy – just your printer, some scissors, and a stapler or Blu Tack.

  1. Print the banner and frames
  2. Choose full colour for the boldest look.
  3. Use cardstock if you want extra durability, especially for the banner letters.
  4. Cut and arrange the banner
  5. Cut around each pennant.
  6. Arrange them in two lines (like in the preview image) or in one long line across the top of your board.
  7. Staple, tape, or attach with mini pegs to twine for a bunting effect.
  8. Prepare the frames
  9. Cut out each frame and “Amazing work by” name plate.
  10. Laminate if you’d like to reuse them all year. You can then write student names with a whiteboard marker.
  11. Attach student work
  12. Staple or clip the pages inside each frame.
  13. Add the matching name plate underneath so everyone can see who the work belongs to.
  14. Stand back and admire!
  15. Invite students to walk past the board and notice something they’re proud of – either their own work or a classmate’s.
