What is the Cornell Note-Taking System?
The Cornell note-taking system is a method developed by Dr. Walter Pauk of Cornell University in the 1950s. It is designed to streamline your notes, making them easier to review and study. The page layout is divided into three sections:
- Notes Section: The largest part, where you jot down notes during lectures or while reading.
- Cue Column: A smaller section on the left where you write key points, questions, or prompts.
- Summary: At the bottom of the page, this section is used to summarize the main ideas in your own words.
